Rockport Women
Rockport's journey began with Saul and Bruce Katz purchasing 3000 pairs of specially developed moccasins in Rockport, Massachusetts. They branded their shoes as Rockport in 1971, aiming to produce comfortable casual and dress shoes. Their first shoe, the Country Walker, was designed in 1973, credited for its modern lightweight comfort concept. In 1983, Bob Infantino joined the company, eventually becoming the Vice President of Product and Marketing. Rockport's focus on comfort led to their shoes being worn by world-class sailors. Innovations like machine washable styles in 2005 and Total Motion technology in 2013 demonstrate their commitment to comfort and innovation. Today, Rockport continues to produce high-quality, fashionable shoes without sacrificing comfort or practicality, leading the way in footwear technology and production standards.
